Synopsis:

Dg-Bridge supported Genashtim in obtaining a matching grant from MaGIC (Malaysian Global Innovation Centre) to fund the development of JEDI Jobs. This is a project to develop a remote work portal that focuses on helping the disadvantaged find jobs. Genashtim received a matching grant of RM 250,000 (US$ 62,500) from MaGIC to train 50 PWDs to prepare them for remote work.

What is JEDI Jobs?

JEDI is for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity. These are our beliefs that propel us to develop a remote work portal to bring opportunities for the disadvantaged to directly connect employers to talented employees to the forefront. At JEDI Jobs, employees worldwide are offered an expansive range of remote work opportunities. Employers, in turn, will benefit by getting  manpower not just from local talents, but also from the diverse global employment pool.

The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us that remote work is feasible, cost-effective, and safe. What has also become obvious is that remote work can operate just as effectively across geographical boundaries. In the past decade, smaller companies have started outsourcing individual jobs. The employer saves about 40% of the operational budget compared to hiring in their locations by cutting down overhead and infrastructure costs. Consequently, this facilitated a reduction in payroll cost and leads to a more competitive renumeration to the employees.
